Surely the account login will be exactly the same..?

Your account is universal for all platforms. If you enter the same PlayOnline ID on anything that can play FFXI, it’ll work. You can play your character on the PC, the PS2 and the Xbox 360 when it comes out without having to purchase another account.

Just remember you can’t have two people accessing the same FFXI account from two platforms (one PC and one PS2) at the same time though – only one person can access the account at any one time.

Some people I’ve heard have fallen into that trap when transfering an existing Content ID (account) onto a different computer or onto the PS2 and trying to login whilst someone is accessing the account from the original PC. So just be careful.

All that would simply do is boot you off the machine that the account is currently active on.

Don’t do this. np08 is most likely connected to/or is a hacker and since the ending on the email is "@hotmail.com" it most certainly is not a official pol email address. If you send your ID and password to this guy he could screw up your account. Not only that but changing your name is impossible and illegal.
