So here’s a little upgrade to one of Sahashi’s finest scores. I believe this is everything he wrote for the franchise. A couple of missing cues have been added and what I could find in FLAC I have updated. It may not be as refined as his later compositions but there is so much "pure Sahashi" in this little gem. It really feels more personal than most of his other scores and I absolutly love it. I would also recommend to listen to some Mozart and Haydn, especially the Trumpet concerto before Kurumi for some extra enlightenment 😉
After all these years, "Miracle of Love" remains one of my absoulte favorite pieces from anime and is perhaps the best piece Sahashi has written for a TV-show yet. I always draw the parallel to Goldsmith’s Enterprise and for good reason. It’s a full-fleshed symphonic piece that not loses it’s momentum for over five minutes. I absolutly adore the moment Kurumi-chan appears and becomes part of the heroic theme with a final trumpet statement. I could listen to it everyday without getting tired, it really is a fantastic musical story. I would donate all my money for a re-recording with the LSO…
…and the OP/ED he wrote are incredibly catchy I have to say
