I agree with you there- I liked TecnoSoft’s compositions of the Thunderforce 3 on the SNES a lot, but I also like the original FM work done on the Genesis.

I agree, he is a great composer, but Toshiharu Yamanishi and Tomomi Ohtani composed this one at TecnoSoft. This was before Hyakutaro Tsukmo came over at TecnoSoft in 1991.
