TIL this forum is for Final Fantasy

i’ve had a Light Bulb moment, i’ve been on this forum since 2014 and always read it as ffshrine and thought it was a forum for Muisc/Sountrack enthusiast. for some reason i pressed Home and was like shocked to see it’s filled with Final Fantasy sub threads lol.

Some of us even still exist lol

Originally this site was a dedicated FF fansite, but after some ownership changes the main FF site the forum was once a part of has since folded and the forum itself has gradually become indeed more a community of game/film/TV soundtrack downloading, with the other sections more ‘legacy’ sections.

I myself admit my interest in the series has waned somewhat from I used to be, FFXIV being the only FF game I’m really still interested in and play regularly now, but there are still a few people here who do post.

I still dimly remember the fansite. I kind of miss fansites in general; and webrings of fansites. My middle school years were spent trawling through RPG fansites and places like RPGFan/RPGamer/Magic Box.

I still like Final Fantasy, but it’s changed in quality since X. I don’t think any of the main series has been "bad," but I don’t have as much interest in XI onward. I do like XIV, but don’t play it anything close to regularly.
