Hey guys every time i play ff9 i use steiner and he learns thunder slash but however every time i use it it misses does any one no y does it happen to otha ppl

Yep, it’s accurate. ^^ The only "good" thing I can think is that Beatrix also uses the same sword art, so if she ever uses it on you during battle, the same thing applies to her, and she’ll miss.

Otherwise, I have no idea why that sword art is in there at all…

At least with a chocolate teapot, you get something yummy. Thunder Slash = wasted MP. Which is a bummer. ;_;

I remember this too. Beatix can use Thunder Slash, and its really powerfull in the fight. I also used it at that dogs in Alexandria, so its accurate with Beatrix

But it really doesn’t work with Steiner? Anyone wanna get on FFIX right now and test it out?

I’ve tested it, and it does not work. It did however work for Beatrix one time, but that was just Beatrix displaying her superiority. Seriously, I’ve tested it so many times, and it haven’t worked once.

And again, the success rate of Steiner doing the Thunder Slash is much less than when Beatrix uses it. She has done it multiple times on my FF9 crew so the "same rule" doesn’t apply to her. It doesn’t even apply for Steiner, well it’s a far less success rate but I’ve managed to do the Thunder Slash a couple of times with Steiner.

I’m sorry, but I don’t believe you. I didn’t just make that up, I took it from Final Fantasy Online (www.ffonline.com), and I’ve playing this game since it came out, and it hasn’t worked a single time.

Well, I guess it varies; it might work, or it might not work, there is no way of proving either. Personally, it’s never worked for me, and I’ve never met anyone whose managed to get it to work either.

Also yes I was an FF7 fanboy, but the longer I’ve stayed here and read the points others have made, the more flaws I see in the game. Then when the trilogy shite come out, that was it, I hung up my FF7 fanboyism forever.
