The !@#!$#@% ZODIAC ESCUTCHEON

No this ain’t a help topic.

Did anyone else here get the Zodiac Escutcheon in the Barheim Passage? I know there’s an easier one in the Great Crystal, but that was a one-time chest and I wanted to use that one for the Brave Suit anyway and besides I was a looong way from it. I went after it in Barheim practically as soon as I got the earliest Diamond Armlet in Tchita.

Anyway, I managed to get it in the Barheim Passage, after precisely 155 tries. I even kept count. Now excuse me while I go chug some water.

…was DAMN WELL worth it though!

Good thing playing a "get everything at the earliest opportunity and beat every mark as it comes before progressing the story" game doesn’t involve me getting the Henne Mines Zodiac Spear. I pity and envy anyone who had to do that.

And Agent isn’t with his "Quick Run" threads? Right… lol this isn’t any more mock-worthy that those (not that I think they are) and you know it. And that, Slavka, is why I "expect anyone to care" and it’s a damn good reason, but the fact that I at least asked a question is what matters. I wouldn’t be surprised if all the replies in here just looked at the first reply and pretended to have read the entire original post and ignoring the fact that there’s a question besides shameless bragging.

This was a perfectly legit thread, but of course now everyone’s gonna be too much of a pussy to admit it because everyone else blindly abused it. Mods or whoever, feel free to delete it, not that I have any shame is posting it, these guys just decided to fuck it up so now it’s way beyond any level of discussion, but they probably feel proud about that. First of all. Agents " quick runs" threads are nothing like this. Unlike this one, they are quite interesting. This on the other hand, just looks like an attempt to brag about something, with no real question about what people think. All you asked was "did anyone else get it?" .

Well, maybe you’re right, but it DOES exist for the purpose of getting it and that is one of only two places, and the odds against it are just that much, so it’s not like it’s entirely a waste. Besides, I’m just wondering if anybody else got it like that, because I recall on the shrine in a topic about the Zodiac Spear everyone saying that no one they know here or on gamefaqs has ever got the Henne Mines one. So I guess it could be a worthwhile question.

Maybe that’s why, but granted maybe you’re right that this isn’t the same environment as youtube and it’s not like i’m making a video helping anyone.

And on an unrelated sidenote, shit, this guy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOUd65pnzrI) claims to have done the ZS in over 1000 tries and 9 hours.
