The type of Final Fantasy Rumble I wanna see…

I considered earlier that it would be fun to see a final fantasy rumble between… monsters. The Final Fantasy Monster Rumble…

Have battles between, for example two of the more famous monsters, toberry vs cactuar

theres PLENTY of monsters, it could last a long time. If you were innovative perhaps you could even insert pictures of each monster so people know what theyre voting on, or maybe just a descriprion and where theyre found.

I’m not on the forums enough to keep up with a task like this, but if anyone out there wants to have a crack at it I personally would fall prostrate before your mighty presence.

If anyone is up for it, I’ll happily help you get it organised, look up some monsters, their attacks, locations found etc…

The only problem with monsters is that their very two dimesional. They don`t have backstories or anything for them to emotionaly connect with player. So i think many would be like "what does that monster look like again". In short, their very fogetable.

It would. I have nothing against it at all. But i think if you are doing it, try and get an image of the monster itself to help people.

agreed. I think people would have trouble remembering alot of the monsters until they saw an image.

Perhaps it could work. But a picture like Dirge said would need to be included and hp,mp and attacks too.

I’m thinking I may even have a crack at creating it myself when I get back from Europe. Im in Prague at the moment, munich in a few days then budapest, salzburg, florence, rome. Before This I came from Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, London, Amsterdam, Berlin. After Rome, in about 2 weeks, im heading home to sydney!

To a certain extent I agree with you, but that is not entirely true. I’ll always remeber enemies Malboro, Tonberry, Catoblepas and cactuar. and this is nnot because they are in most FF’s, it’s because of the past experiences while battling them. After having Bad Breath been used on me by a Malboro, I’ve always been very careful when battle them. Monsters like such are memorable, but you are right with some of them not being as memorable such as Orog from FFVI.

Sure, i totaly agree, but some are still just "enimies" and very forgetable. Most of us know a large portion of the recuring enimies inside out but the other ones?. If this rumble is made i think showing pics of these monsters is essential. And if it is made, with images, i think it would be a great idea.

There’s also those enemies you fight so many times that you remember them, but anyway pictures will definetly be needed just as a memory refresher.

I only tolerate the current two rumbles since they were in place already when I became a mod. They really don’t help much whatsoever when it comes to stimulating discussion.

Now, if you wanted to try to get people to discuss their favorite monsters, then you could take a shot at that, perhaps. Otherwise you’ll just have to wait for Agent or Smokey to do it first.
