with the release of the 2nd movie, i thought it’s time to do a request of the score for the
first movie. the score hasn’t been released on an official cd, but it was given out as a
promo cd. hence me making a request for said promo score… in lossless 😉

Well the promo is lossy sourced, so good luck.

Not really… it’d just take up more space on your hard drive.
Any small, marginal increase of sound quality that the lossy FLAC file would have over the MP3 is probably undetectable by human ears.

i think that lockdown was referring to the promo (fyc?) cd being made from a lossy source. therefore the best preservation of that quality is a lossless rip.

You’re not an archivist, you’re a listener… I doubt a lossless rip would change the way the audio sounds at all.

It is a composer promo, not sure there was an FYC, wasn’t around during that time, there is an FYC song, so maybe.
