The attack on Pearl Harbor (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attack_on_Pearl_Harbor) happened 74 years ago today, December 7th, "a date which will live in infamy". We should remember this important day, and honor the people who died, and who survived. I thought the least I could do was make a commemoration thread, and play the Pearl Harbor levels in Medal of Honor Rising Sun and Pacific Assault. Post here if you feel strongly about this tragedy and want to "Remember Pearl Harbor".

Anyone who even thinks about watching that stupid Michael Bay movie should switch gears and watch Tora!, Tora!, Tora! instead.

Tora! doesn’t waste time with sappy love stories like Bay’s film.

It’s a very interesting look at the events leading up to the attack from both American and Japanese perspectives. Great Goldsmith score too.

+1 on Tora!
i loved it as a kid when i first watched it.

MB’s version is okay. I like the first part of the romance story where they meet.

I agree, but they are still both good movies, though if it’s not limited to Pearl Harbor, Saving Private Ryan beats the shit out of Pearl Harbor (Michael Bay).

I see. This has been more of a "which Pearl Harbor movie is better?" thread than what I intended it for.
Hmmm…. I’ll be hoping we have a better run next year.
