ABOUT THE SOUNDTRACK
This is the complete TV audio track rip from the Outer Limits unaired pilot "Please Stand By".
The differences between "Please Stand By" and "The Galaxy Being" are primarily found in the sound mix.
In "Please Stand By" the background music is more subdued, muted, and Frontieri’s end title theme is an expanded version with a few added bars.
Allan’s radio station, KXKVI, spins different dance tunes.
The Being’s "signature noise" includes an asthmatic, bellows puffing sound, recognizable as the Time Machine’s Morlocks.
The death scream of ill-fated deejay Eddie Phillips as well as the lusty shriek put out by Gene Maxwell’s date Loreen, at the sight of Eddie’s corpse, were dropped from the "Galaxy Being".
In "Please Stand By" the extra "bonus" dialogue includes an addendum to the Being’s line, "I am a danger to my planet…they will come for me…destroy your planet".
When Carol see’s the Being in the transmission shack, she becomes completely unhinged, screaming.
