I’ve recently gotten into the Avengers show(the UK one from the 60s, not the Marvel comics one), and I just noticed that some music frequently used in episodes is similar to the Turks theme. Not to mention that Emma Peel is seen snapping her fingers on several occasions, at least once to distract whoever she was fighting. Her first episode, The Town of No Return, if you watch it online(or on DVD if you have it), listen to the music just before the big fight at the end when the bad guys tell Steed/Peel to turn around. It’s also in the Castle De’ath episode, but I don’t remember when in the episode it happens, and it’s in more episodes as well. I don’t know how to find out if that music was the inspiration for the Turks theme or not…
