The Official "I Hate This Game Thread" Version 2.0

Is it just me or is FFX2 a major dissapointment. I bought Final Fantasy X in June and thought it was the second best behind VII of course. So I was really dissapointed when I completed X2 in 14 hours with a respectable 53%. Then a week later I got the perfect ending which is the highlight of the game. It seems that square cant make two great games in a row. X and X2 is the example I’ve just used and also VIII is dissapointing in comparision to VII, although I am stuck at Adel at the start of disc 4 and still haven’t completed it. Am I alone in thinking X2 is rubbish.

I definitely don’t share that opinion, but you can browse through the forums for other threads where people have said similar things. In the meantime, I’ve retitled this thread as the new "I Hate This Game" thread, for anyone that wishes to talk about it.

I don’t think FFX-2 was that big of a dissapointment. But the fact they made the game so different and mainstream from other FFs turned alot of people off. My girlfriend even stopped playing it when she got to the hot springs part at Gagazet, and said she did’nt want to play this "lesbian porno" anymore. While I do agree that there was some stuff in there that was complete fanservice. I still like the battle system in there and I like some of the characters in the game as well. THe Perfect ending was dissapointing but I felt like I accomplished something and a new,BETTER, Final fantasy will hopefully come along.

BTW, FFX is much worse IMO.

I hated FFX-2, it was boring, nothing happened, the game is practically made for girls, with dresspheres and so on.

A total disappointment.

I dont hate the game but I still think it’s the worst in the series. The battle system is cool, though..and so are the dresspheres. But apart from that..i think the game sucks. ^_^

I thought FFX-2 was great. The story was iffy but the battles were a lot of fun! Fun is my main factor in buying and playing video games so this game scores high in my book. Unlike FFVII which WAS a great disappointment.

Because FFX is linear and boring and too easy. It’s my least favortie FF game ( I don’t hate it), and the only thing that makes up for it are the graphics, music, and characters (although a couple of them had annoying VA’s). And besides I put a "In my Opinion" to say I had a different opinion ok.

I’ve gotten FFX-2 recently, I’m about 25 hours in the game with everyone around level 65. I’m at 53% and close to finishing the game for the first time. My first thought was, it feels short. But then, 53% is just over halfway there. There is a ton of stuff that I haven’t done that has impact on the story and what not. I Honestly love the game, the dress spheres are the best thing after switching your party members in combat.

Yeah, if you’re only at 53%, then you’ve missed out a lot on the game has to offer. But wait until you try New Game Plus, it rocks!

I had a lot of fun playing the game. That being said, I really don’t have any complaints other than that it too closely resembled Charlie’s Angels.
