For the Star Wars Nerds of the shrine. Here is a thread for you.

I’d like to talk about the lightsaber. How do you think it would work? Is it possibble to make one, or pure science fiction? If possibble what could they be used for? What could be possible effects for there use? So on and so forth.

I have some un answered questions about lightsabers.

Why does no one bleed from them?

Do you have to hold the ON switch down or just press it, or can you make it either?

If its a lightsaber… light has no weight, so would all the wait of the sword be in hilt? That would make for occward handling i think.

How would you make the beam stop at a specified length?

I’m guessing they instantly cauterize wounds.

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO choosing the last option.

Agreeing with The Master. I hated Star Wars after I saw 40 year olds fighting each other with toy lightsabers wearing stupid fucking robes from the movie. Star Wars isn’t even that exciting anyways.

Since it’s multiple choice, I chose to defy logic and select all of the colors. A rainbow lightsaber?! Fabulous~! :3

I chose "I would like 2 colors" because when I was at Toys Us I saw the Anikin/Darth Vader Light Saber that gave you the red or blue light option.

I chose Orange, though I was sorely tempted to choose both Orange and Silver.

In some pictures, the lightsaber blade actually tapers off at the end, sort of like the blade is a really stretched triangle.

i saw that. i thinks its inproved CGI for episode III.

Nope. In some pics, even the older ones of the original trilogy, the lightsabers taper off or they are much rounder. Strange, but in all the movies they are round at the end. No, I don’t think it means anything but the triangular ones are more believable.

I hope he leaves them alone and comes up with something new and un-Star-Wars-ie. I love the trilogies, but I sure hope he doesn’t try to milk the series anymore, moviewise. Spinoffs or side stories could prove interesting, if he gets around to any. In the long run though, screw that egomaniac.
