I just beat this game. Really good update to Wind Waker. There wasn’t much new content, which I kinda expected, but the new shadow and lightning effects really make a difference. The new orchestrated music is amazing too. I’m not going to list every changed game mechanic, but they for sure made some good changes especially for people who might want to get through this game a little faster and it’s a lot easier to aim with the gyroscope feature now. The gamepad really helps out a lot for finding treasure now too. So now I started the 2nd playthrough, and trying the new Hero mode, and maybe take some pictographs and post them to Miiverse!

Just wrapping this one up. As far as Zelda titles go, this one seems like the most padding of any of them. Skyward Sword had a lot of busy work, but all the criss-crossing with treasure maps just seemed unnecessary. Still a fun game and the Zelda vibe. But for 3D Zelda, my favorite is still Twilight Princess.

I actually really like the revamped music. I thought it fit the new graphics nicely. It gives it a more realistic and ethnic feel IMO. I think it’s equally as good (if not better) than the original. Maybe it’s just me I guess…

Yep, the music sounds more pronounced in my opinion. Might be as good as the Twilight Princess soundtrack, maybe.

What’s the difference graphically/gameplay wise since I’ve already finished:

Makes me want to buy a Wii U just to play it. If there’s anything that bugged me about the original GC one it was the resolution causing aliasing.
