So Naughty Dog (creators of the Uncharted, Crash Bandicoot and the Jak & Dax games) released a new game a couple of months ago called The Last of Us. The game is set 20 years after a fungal outbreak which turns people who are infected into angry anguses who try to kill everyone that isn’t infected. The whole world’s gone to shit and it’s like The Walking Dead instead it’s better than The Walking Dead. Kill or be killed, sometimes doing the right thing isn’t always the most humane thing, fuck yo morals, every man for himself.

Played it on Normal and Hard mode, unlocked Survival mode and FAAAARK this game is beast bruh, amazing shit going down. Definitely the best game my PS3 has ever loaded. The world in it is so beautiful and fucking awesome, enemy encounters were like the first time you play Batman Arkham City and cutscenes weren’t these cheesy shits. I think, maybe all the feels that were had playing this game made me love it so much. Bitch I ain’t cried tho. Wish I could forget the whole game, then go back to play it again (i don’t read books).
THIS IS THE MUST HAVE GAME FOR PS3. The Last of us shits on the bar that all other games fail to reach. After you finish the game you will have an idea for what 8th gen(?) games should strive towards. Maybe I’m talking it up a bit too much.

10/10 STORY (won like every award out there. all the clichs you might expect are NOT here, except maybe one)
10/10 GAMEPLAY (along with the story it paces great and doesn’t feel like an rpg. I’d say it’s semi-linear, but only because it doesn’t feel linear)
10/10 GRAPHICS (listen to me bruh, next-gen consoles are here, but this game shows off what the PS3 can really do)
10/10 VOICE ACTING (they went HAM. script felt organic and real. plus none of this breathless-haste talking, over-emotion, puberty voice breaking amateurism)
8/10 ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (i wanted to do the same sorta things like in the demo trailer)
10/10 IMMERSION (play survivor mode, the encounters with enemies turn into awesome cinematic movie-type shits)
10/10 FEELS (it has it’s ups and downs, but you can’t deny the view)

Please hurry up and buy this game so I can add you on PSN and send you countless invites in multiplayer mode.

I played the game through twice already. My roommate only made it halfway through before he got too scared. I liked it, but honestly didn’t think the game was that scary. A lot of the animations like the clickers were the same animations over and over again so once you see it the scare factor wears off.

I played the game, beautiful story, but I haven’t played multiplayer yet. What’s multiplayer like? Is it similar to UC3? I’m not really a fan of MP games.

Yeah you’re right about the scare factor going. But when you forget what happens in certain parts of the game it can be even more of a scare when an enemy startles you. I prefer fighting the non-infected, it’s some of the best AI and game-script-instance-variable shits that I’ve ever played.

I haven’t jammed multiplayer yet. I’ll probably do it after the DLC for single and multiplayer comes out, which I’m anticipating like a mofo. Who knows what it will contain? Knowing Naughty Dog, it’s defo gonna be some mint shit like awesome.
Kinda wanna play SP a bunch of times before I go onto MP. Like I said before, if I could forget the whole game and do it again, I would. It’s engaging as fuuuuuuck.

Been watching some interviews (and by some, I mean all of them) the actors seem like cool cats maaayn. Wish I entered that competition at the start of the year so I could get my name on one of those Firefly Pendants in-game, that would be cool.

I hope they make more games in The Last of Us world.
