Extended suites from three classic Mikls Rzsa scores of the 1940s, two for film noirs, one from a melodrama
with some noir imagery. For the sake of our Remote Control Production-impaired friends, I’ve included the
booklet as a PDF. 😉 Go listen to some REAL film music – with real instruments, themes that don’t just involve
a simple broken-triad melody over a musically inert ostinato figure, orchestrations that don’t feature mind-numbing,
brain-shrivelling electronic percussion. Music that took brilliance of mind and real craftsmanship to create! 😀

Enjoy! 🙂

Positive proof: There was a time
when film composers could actually
write down notes! Try that, Hansi!

This indeed is Classic film music.
The Noir movies had amazing, moody scores that matched the unique look of the films.
Many Thanks !!!

Thanks for the upload! I LOVE the sound of theremin in The Lost Weekend (maybe I’m wrong, but I think Rosza was the first Hollywood composer who used this creepy-sounding instrument in his film music).
