Discuss in step by step how to do things in this thread.

How to overcome fear of spiders:

Step #1: Ask yourself why am I afraid of spiders?

Step #2: Start looking on like Google Ask
Blekko Bing Yahoo AOL YouTube wikiHow eHow etc. for pictures of spiders.

Step #3: Watch videos of spiders or see pictures of spiders or both.

Step #4: (Unless it is a dangerous spider such as an adult female black widow spider which has a red hourglass symbol on her stomach or back) if you see a spider go near it such as about 17 feet away from it and watch it move if it moves

Step #5: Remember you are a giant to them.

Step #6: Remember most (but not all) spiders are undangerous.

Step #7: When you see a spider verbally say "(your first name) you are a giant as far as this spider sees you" or something like that such as Dolores, do not freak out. Remember Dolores you are a giant as far as this spider is concerned.

Tip #1: Spiders are helpful.

Tip #2: Some spiders are friendly.

Warning #1: Some spiders are actually dangerous. If you confront a dangerous spider, unless safety demands otherwise, stay a very good distance away from any dangerous spider.

Warning #2: Although the chance of death (my guess anyways) for the average person is about 2.6 % chance of dying from a non medically taken care of venomous bite from an adult female black widow spider, still contrary to what some websites teach, an adult female black widow spider is a very dangerous spider.

Step..:erm: all. kill it. Smash it with a log, and then burn log, thus killing it with fire. Only way to be sure….

im not afraid of spiders, but since im not a spider expert so i dont know which ones are poisonous (except obviously the black widow) i tend to avoid being close to them, what i AM fearful of it getting bitten and not recieve medical attention in time.
for the few i know are completely safe, like the long legged ones, i let them be. hell, one live in my bathroom and we developed a peaceful coexistence. everytime i bathe it goes into its spot, away from the water.

the same for snakes. aside from pythons i dont know which other ones are poisonous or not (i know that if it has fangs it has venom, but im not gonna to grab every snake by the throath to find out).

tl dr: i only fear getting bitten and dying.
