The Final Fantasy 8 Ending? (spoiler)

I never quite grasped the meaning of it either, with the running around in white and black backround. I clocked it at around midnight and no-one was around, got really creeped out when it started repeating itself at the Rinoa dance scene. lol.

Rinoa and Squall are together at the end so its a happy ending thats all thats important

To summarize:

1. Squall gets lost in Time Compression because he was beginning to forget everything.

2. Squall faints of exhaustion

3. Rinoa finds Squall in Time Compression

4. Squall wakes up

5. Squall and Rinoa make their way back to their own time

6. They through a party.

7. Several plot points are wrapped up in the most half assed way possible.

8. Square makes money off it anyway.

But isn’t that Squeenix’s way?

Damn. I would move this to the FFVIII section if I could, since I moderate that section. But as a moderator, I only have the capability to move stuff out of that section. I can’t move stuff in other sections into it.

but did Squall die?

He is! At the very end–….
Rinoa and him are outside enjoying the quietness.

The only way you believe that Squall died is if you believe that the Squall with Rinoa at the end is a ghost, which some people have proposed. I definitely do not buy that idea.

Final Fantasy VIII is one of my personal favorites, but the ending still bothers (and disappoints) me. The story was OK at best, and the ending certainly didn’t raise the bar in that area.

The only thing that made that ending decent and almost a tear jerker was the Eyes on Me song. Everything was pretty half-assed.

Really? Because I thought the stuff with the posse and with Laguna was good.

Alright yeah, Ive even mentioned that before. Lagunas part in the ending was good.
