The dog….please help

can anyone help me?
I must find the commander/captain and I must use the dog that walk over there but I don’t know how I get this dog with me so I can’t find the captain??
Can anyone give me a tip how I can get this dog with me?

First you need to find out that he ate some fish. Zells mother is going to tell you something like that. When you go inside the house, everything still smells like fish, which means this will stay on your clothes and such.

If you go down to the area where you find the boats and stuff, there’s also the dog running around. He has to smell the fish at first (let it smell on you or something, can’t remember). After he did, he starts running to the direction to where you’ll find the captain.

I can’t really explain it very well, because I haven’t played this game for a while. Just walk around to pick up the different informations you need. 😉

There are actually a couple different established methods of solving this scenario, but Aerith Gainsboriough’s information is good. I recommend going with it. Oh, and eventually you’re going to end up at the train station.

P.S.: If you want to get back outside, look for the little rascal kid and he’ll stage a plot to get you out, so you can go to the World Map and save your game and stuff.

Follow the road to Balamb harbour and walk straight ahead until you enterthe next screen. In the far screen, you will see two soilders and a dog. Address the soilder who stands upright to hear that the captain has caught a fish and want’s to prepare a meal.
Now examine the dog. The soilder will tell you that the dog is supposed to find Ellone.This is confirmed by the soilder who is kneeling down. Pay Zell’s mother a visit. You can rest and save your game upstairs in Zell’s room. Go back downstairs and enter the room to the right of the screen and Ms. Dincht will follow. Talk to her and she will say that she has seen a woman with grey hair and an eye patch. Fuijin is in town! When you talk to the neighbour and her son in Zell’s house, the boy will run outside.
Leave the house and enter the other house on the right. After talking to the man and the gir, return to Zell’s house. Ms. Dincht will tell you that a man wanted to cook some evil-smelling fish he had caught. Examine the pot in the kitchen then return to the harbour. Find and examine the dog, then follow it to the train station and enter the train to the left of the platform. Seconds later, Raijin will come out, aka the Captain and follow him to the Balamb hotel just before that harbour. Then you must fight Raijin.
