The Day Ends

Sunset
An orange aura overcomes the land
A gentle breeze still wisps across the trees
A day so beautiful will end

I will walk this path
The white sand is the road to destiny
The breeze can no longer keep me here
I must go now

The sun shall disappear beyond the horizon
The light can no longer guide me
A day so beautiful is ending
I will go now

The sun has left me behind
The air has become still
A day so beautiful has ended
I have gone

i wonder if anybody will ever write a poem and not trying to sound passionate…

No, I’ve never even played it. Its a simple poem about a person who feels as a beautiful day fades, he fades as well.

I really have to agree with everyone else. Is this really about you? Or is it something you made up? For example, and person can’t write about love ‘less the person has been in love. If that’s really how you feel, than that’s fine, but it seems so artificial to me. But I DO like the imagery. I at least SAW the sun set.

Yes it is a poem about me from when I was young. The poem is about a boy who spent his day in appreciation of the marvels of nature (the gentle breeze, the sunshine, the trees). These very things were an escape from all his troubles, but as the day ends he realizes that he must return.

I like it. Sorry for going against the rest of you guys, but it is pretty good. It reminds me of myself and how I wish to escape reality and be overwhelmed by a fantasy world.

It reminds me of Kingdom Hearts.
