I once tried to do them & My computer ended up paying the price for it. :'(

I’ve never had any trouble with them myself and don’t know why anyone would find using them even remotely problematic. Obviously as with any download, you have to be sure of its authenticity. Anyway, just use a download client like uTorrent, which is what I use. Also, I know the above link is OK because I downloaded it fine and with no problems whatsoever. Finally, when on the Torrent site, make sure it’s the Torrent file you are clicking on and not any of the advertisers’ rogue download buttons also on the page. I’m sure there’s tutorial on youtube for those not sure of the process in any case.
