The Black Mages

Has anyone heard of them? The band is formed by Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy Composer) and some other Japanese guys. They play Uematsu’s music in a rock style.

As far as I know they have played pieces like Vamo’ Alla Flamenco, Hunter’s Chance(IX), The Decisive Battle, (VI) and The Man with the Machine Gun (VIII).

Black Mages, what can I say about them……they are awesome. The "Maybe I’m A Lion" Black mages version is awesome. Also "The Rocking Ground". Awesome stuff.

I’m a fan of them and I loved Hunter’s Chance along with the Descisive Battle, but I wonder if they would so remixs for other Powerful Boss Themes like One Winged Angel (Overated Constantly) like Dark Messenger, another of my personal favorites.

Black Mages are awsome. My favorites would be Matoya’s Cave, Maybe I’m a Lion, Vamo’ Alla Flamenco, and especially The Skies Above (all in second cd). I haven’t really got a chance to listen to the first cd, since I don’t even have it. But looks good.

my fav would have to be Zeromus from FFIV. took an already chaotic, mean song and added a nice touch of sinister

I really like the band.

I’m just hoping they’ll one day do the boss theme of FF IV (fight 2).
That one is my all time favorite battle theme.

but if u really really wanna see something new, buy the FF3 OST NDS which has a cover of the black mages , which is the last battel siong and i am assuming they will do the same for FFIV NDS too

Well, he is mainly known for composing final fantasy music. And, he is also in the Black Mages crew. Black Mages are a tribute band to final fantasy, but Nobuo is also in there too.
