the 122333 challenge

Hey all,

I just began the 122333 challenge last night. Has anyone else done it, and can you tell me if it takes an *UNGODLY* long time?

I decided that, after having pwned the game at level 85 (except for Yiazmat, he pwned me several times before I could return the pwnage), I’d like to do something more challenging. As stated in other threads, while beating the final boss empty-handed is funny, it feels a bit cheap, too.

It probably takes a long ass time. I was wondering, how you can prevent your characters from gaining EXP, while still gaining LP?

Well, so much for that plan. Once I realized that not killing anything for the first half (or so) of the game would leave me *seriously* hurting for money, I decided that stealing pelts from werewolves and farming ethers in RANDOM treasure chests for hours on end was going to take too damn much of my time. And there is an accessory called "firefly" that keeps a character from gaining Exp. Problem is, you can’t get your first one until Stillshrine, so you’re stuck fleeing from everything until then.

Anyway, I think it’s time for me to put this whole FFXII thing to bed. Looking forward to XIII.

What is this challenge, basically just not levelling up?

Yeah. 1,2,2,3,3,3 are the levels your characters start with.

From what I’ve been told, it gets a lot easier after you get firefly accessories to prevent your characters from leveling up, as well as decent guns (since guns cause static damage, irrespective of character levels).

Okay, I’m a big fat liar. I decided I’d continue to play for an afternoon. Which turned into all night. Which turned into 24-hour game-athon.

Yes, once the fireflies and guns are available, it’s pretty much like playing regularly.

God damn it you got determination…..
I got one fomalhaut in this challenge and it made it a looooooot easier. Still took a hell of a lot of time. Not really worth it in my opinion. Just gave up soon after then

you can warp, poach the monsters before u get firefly

That sure sounds like a challenge, one that I’m admitting that I’d never attempt to try…
