Team : Rinoa vs Irvine

What do you think is the best 2nd or 3rd member in your party and why ?

I think Rinoa wins this waaaay before Irvine
her random limit break Angelo Reverse, Invincible Moon and Wishing Star beat Irvine Quick or Pulse Ammo
Not to mention the Angelo Wing ..

I hated Irvine throughout the whole game

I prefered Rinoa’s limit breaks to Irvines, and I think her character was better thought out 🙂

Irvine. I’m sorry, but I just don’t like using Rinoa in my battle party, at all. And Irvine is a reliable staple with his Shot limits.

Rinoa is much better than Irvine, in my opinion, when it came to using her in battle.

irvine, all the way rinoa is so weak it makes me sick!
fith 255 str. and fast ammo =8000X20 damage,that cant be beat!

i mean irvines good and all but rinoas got angelo that dogs real good and helps out sometimes but i do agree with Squall Bahamut irvines limit is good but i’d still pick Rinoa 🙂

Rinoa of course. Her limits are a lot better than Irvines. I don’t like it, if someone has to use items for the limit. 😉

her limit breaks to me were much better than irvine’s.

and technically Squall Bahamut i think fast ammo can be beaten maybe not by Rinoa but Squall’s Lionheart limit is by far one heck of a butt kickin move and by the way since when did Irvines fast ammo do around 8000 a hit???????even with such a high strength stat?

Irvine’s shot limits were good, but more times I would pick Rinoa. HEr limits are more useful in tough battles (like Ultima Weapon,Omega Weapon, etc). and even though their random, Angelo did some pretty good attacks when it was’nt Invinceable moon or Wishing Star.

Pulse Ammo was one of the best limits, 9999 dmg per hit as fast as one can tap R1, so I prefer Irvine, Rinoa sucked…in terms of limits at least.

Rinoa’s basic stats are a nice combo of high ones, though lacking in strength, she makes up for it in magic and such. Her limits are random, which sucks horribly, but Wishing Star is awesome, if you get it, and some of her defensive ones will help out your party a bit better off than Irvine’s shots. Plus Rinoa has generally a higher compatability with GFs.

I would also pick Rinoa over Irvine simply because I like Rinoa’s character much more better than Irvine’s.

Irvine. I’m sorry, but I just don’t like using Rinoa in my battle party, at all.Same. Irvine’s personality irked me, but Rinoa was much worse, because not only was she really annoying, she was practically useless, imho. Not that I used Irvine too much, though. My party was mainly Quistis, Selphie, and Squall. If I could have switched Squall out for Zell, I would have.

Irvine blows, but I perfered his strength over Rinoa, and his upgraded Gunw as pretty cool.

Rinoa, I liked her limits way better, and on my second time thru the game i only let angelo learn his original, invincible moon, and wishing star making her awesome!

personally, i like them both just as much, even tho i find irvine to be a loser/loner. however, his trenchcoat looks pretty cool, and due to the lack of ‘jobs’ in ffviii, it doesn’t matter too much on who you pick. if i could have 4 ppl at a time, i would include rinoa.

Irvine, of course. I do like Rinoa’s Meteor Angel Wing fixed limit, but I just don’t like her personally. Irvine, however, was one of my favourites and I really enjoyed using him.

I like Rinoa……(can i ahve an opinion without any one yelling at me) I think Irvine is kinda girly. when i first played FFVIII i really thoguht he was wearing a purple bra..

Rinoa was a lot more useful to me in battle. Her limits were more effective, and she was stronger than Irvine. I didn’t find much use for him. 😉
