Saw this flick a long time ago on the early DVD from a bargain bin. Honestly I can’t remember if the movie was good or not. Nor do I recall any of the music. Must be decent of a score to have got a fancy expanded release so giving it a download. Thanks.

The film and soundtrack are both unashamed 80’s cheese, albeit in a mostly ‘tongue-in-cheek’ way (which critics seem to miss).

The tone gets quite grim in the middle however, which seems drawn out but other action comedies have their down-moments (e.g. Beverly Hills Cop when Axel’s friend is murdered).

You probably have to be a fan of the genre and not take things too seriously to enjoy both. No other score quite compares either, it’s so enthusiastic and uninhibited.

The score is incorrectly mixed by the label: "Chinese Assassin" is "Cash in the Tunnel" and vice versa
