I am ok with the Tekken side, On the side of the Street Fighters I know it is going to be the usual… Ryu, Ken, Ryu 3 Ryu 4 and 5 and Sagat. I’ll be completely sold on the game when they put Ingrid and Karin.
So I hear there are two versions.
Street Fighter X Tekken which will play like Street Fighter, and
Tekken X Street Fighters which… well you guessed it, Will play like Tekken.

I really don’t see a point to this game. Those two franchises are complete opposites from each other. I would have preferred Capcom vs SNK 3 over this.

THANK YOU! I know right?
I was personally hoping for Arc vs Capcom but this is good too imo.

Capcom and Namco clearly see how they can make it work, otherwise this game wouldn’t exist…the logic that fans know better than the developers here is flawed, since CLEARLY they’ve come to an accord on how it can work. I mean, if they both felt it COULDN’T work then there’d be no game…so everyone screaming that it can’t is, at this point, illogical considering they seem to have figured something out between them!

According to this,
http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3180566
there is going to be 2 games. One that plays like street fighter and the other that plays like Tekken.
Well that should satisfy people but of course, now people bitch that to play with friends you’re gonna have to get both versions incase they get the one you don’t have.
Although I don’t see how it would be difficult to have a feature where you can change what playstyle it is online, easily solving that problem.

It might not work that way. If I remember clearly, when Capcom did this with SNK, they were not only different playstyles, the games were almost different in every other way. This is of course, If Namco makes there game identical to Tekken and not SFIV

Street Fighter X Tekken seems mechanical characteristic of Street Fighter IV, locked in a 2D plane, with both Tekken and Street Fighter EX characters in the scene-style super moves. The fight began with Ryu vs. Kazuya, but Ono and Harada added two other characters, Chun-Li Street Fighter and Tekken, Nina Williams. Ryu said his fireball move Ultra brand, with Kazuya later, he follows with his electrified spinning uppercut.

I really do not know what to say about this game (I’m probably going to buy it when it’s cheap)… I just don’t like the new art (street fighter iv, marvel vs capcom 3, etc) atm…

Or Tekken vs. Virtua Fighter.
I could see Street Fighter vs. DBZ. Weird that they went with Tekken. Oh well, Tekken’s better anyways.
