I haven’t found anything like it yet and I was wondering if there’s anything in FFX that functions like Final Fantasy VIII’s battle meter. Something where you could check your number of battle wins and statistics for individual characters and stuff. The main reason I’m asking is because I know there’s specific numbers of battles Wakka has to be in to get certain prizes in blitzball and so I’m just wanting to know if there’s any way to find out other than than just guess and check.

I don’t have any idea what ur talking about I never knew in FFVIII you could check stats like that, and the only way you can get wakka’s overdrive skills are to play blitzball not use him in battle.

Yes, you could check stats like that in FFVIII. It was called the "battle meter." You could talk to Cid right before your first mission to get it and then there were ways to upgrade later in the game.

And yes, the number of battles Wakka has been in for blitzball does matter because he has to have been in 250 battles for one of the prizes and 450 for another of them. Check Vivi FF’s blitzball guide if you don’t believe me.

Edited to say that I got the time you talk to Cid wrong. You actually talk to him right after the first mission, once he dismisses you after getting your SeeD rank report. That’s when he’ll give to you.

I havent seen any option so far, and I don’t know if it even excists. Also in FFVII there is a way to check your battles, the man in the cave near Junon.

Yeah, I knew about FFVII, I just thought VIII was a better example, since its battle meter was a lot more detailed than the guy in the cave in FFVII. In any case, I guess it’s a moot point, since it turned out Wakka had been in enough battles for me to get his stuff. Still kinda curious to know, but since you say there isn’t such a thing, I guess there probably isn’t then. No biggie.
