Hello there. I’ve always thought that Star Fox Adventures was a HIGHLY underrated game, all in all. Everybody complains because it isn’t like StarFox 64, but really I think it’s a great game on it’s own. And the music is incredible. Who can be surprised when it came from the same genius behind Donkey Kong Country 1 & 2?

My topic title said my project on it? Oh yes, that’s right it did.

See I have a project I’m doing for this game’s score. I’m going to compile it into a proper soundtrack CD. This means I’m going to weed through all the tracks, cut certain ones, combine certain ones that are similar into one song (as if they are just separate verses) and rearrange some things. (Like in Krazoa Palace I combined the main theme with the "In the Presense of a spirit theme together since they both have the exact same rhythm, and arranged some of the phrases so that they flow more like a real song and not a VG song).

Also, a small amount of reverb will be added to all tracks to give it more of a "live" feel. Not alot, don’t worry.

Also, not all songs will have "creative" changes to them. In fact I’d say alot of them won’t. But they will be reordered to be more of a "proper" soundtrack cd rather than just a collection of all the songs. But alot of the songs will be merged together, such as different variations on the same song and area’s that have multiple themes will sometimes be combined together, flowing as if it were a film score or something.

I placed this topic here because I’m doing this project for myself and my own enjoyment, but if anybody’s interested I will provide a download link to it in the appropriate forum.

I LOVE starfox adventures, especially the music to it, I have a gamerip but it’s not like what you’re doing since the songs in this game rip are all over the place. Good luck on your project!

I’m sure there will be a lot of people interested. Once it’s ready, you should post the download link in a new thread in the "Downloads" section. Thanks for sharing.

Starfox Adventures is overrated if anything. It’s a mediocre and incredibly easy game. The StarFox shooting sequences they forcefully squeezed in made it even worse and didn’t feel like StarFox at all.

I was severely disappointed by this game. I think Dinosaur Planet would’ve been far better than Starfox Adventures, and I hate Krystal for being the biggest Mary-Sue ever in a series that only has Mary-Sue characters in it. In Dinosaur Planet she would’ve been a teenage girl, but for StarFox she’s been made adult and her boobs were made bigger. Oh, and she was made a damsel in distress. How dumb. ._.

Nevertheless, Adventures DOES have a few good music tracks, that I’ll give you. If you remove the sound effects the usual soundtrack going around here has, I’d be interested.

I’m just scared of the legions of Krystal-worshippers that the game spawned. ;P But I like a lot of David Wise’s music, so I would definitely be interested in this!

Well she marks the downfall of StarFox for me as she stayed for the rest of the games – I feel the same for Tricky and Planet Sauria, so no bias towards her in particular, she’s just more popular.

Adventures was bad, Assault was mediocre and Command was okay, but didn’t feel like StarFox at all (just like Adventures). Assault at least had this feeling, but it drowned in the game’s bad quality. So yea. I’m kinda disappointed with StarFox and don’t REALLY look forward to a new one.

Okay just an update.

I’ve finished the "Scales Attack on Galleon" (no creative changes other than having it end at the end of the first loop, with extra reverb to make it sound like it was actually ended and not just cut off), "Inside Krazoa Palace" (combines Inside Krazoa Palace and In the Presense of a Krazoa spirit into one proper song, and ommits a certain verse I didn’t feel belonged (the one before the voice sings)), "Krazoa Shrine" (nothing really done to it), "Thorntail Hollow" (starts with the evening variation on the song, then goes to the day version and starts right with the drums), Thorntail Hollow Vocal, and something else that I can’t remember (I can’t remember because it was one of the ones that all I did was add reverb)

Also I would just like to say that this soundtrack will in no way be complete. Songs such as pause menu that were just background music with no compositional value whatsoever for example. And there will be no short fanfares that are under 1 minute in length, that is unless I can find a way to work them into a song where it fits.

I thought it was a very solid Zelda type adventure game with some pretty decent tunes in it. I definitely don’t think it was as good as Star Fox 64 or as good as Zelda (which is the problem if you are Nintendo making an adventure game; you’re going to get compared with OoT). Definitely not a classic, but certainly a solid GCN game. I liken it to Jet Force Gemini; a very underrated game (though SFA is nowhere close to JFG; I don’t want to give that impression).
