I present you my work on the Star Wars franchise called "The Imperial Symphony"
I have edited, altered and remastered the score of Shadows of the Empire and now it’s a completley different experience.

Shadows of the Empire may be the most appealing Star Wars score from the new generation of Star Wars projects.
It is not from John Williams but from his friend Joel McNeely who did score the Multimedia event "Shadows of the Empire". Truely a Masterpiece and a perfect example how a familiar score can be expanded and reimagened. Finally we get some fantastic variations of Darth Vader’s Theme (Imperial March) and it was the first soundtrack in the history of star wars music that used choral elements on a larger scale and put them in the spotlight.
John Williams would be pleased with this interpretation of his work and for me it’s by far the best Star Wars Soundtrack of the new Generation since I find all OSTs from Episode I, II, III (With a few exeptions like Duel of the Fates, Flag Parade or the Love Theme of course) quite dissapointing compared to the fantastic musical journey of the Originals (There are still great nonetheless but they don’t give me goosebumps like the originals).
With that being said, enjoy my Imperial Symphony.

So this is only a suite that you edited from Shadows of the Empire and no new music not featured on that album is here right?

I may be wrong but isn’t a chorus used on the return of the jedi for the emperor theme and the final duel, and so technically the first time of the use of a chorus in the history of star wars music?

Yes, technically these are all suites, although there are many elements from other Star Wars scores included.
Regarding the choral part: What I meant was that the score used choral elements more frequently and with a larger scale.
In Return of the Jedi the Duel with Vader and the Emperor’s Theme were the only tracks that used choral elements and they were more subtle than bombastic.

I’m now reading SOTE, because it was released in my country year and half ago and I was seeking this as book for 10 years. I also played the game and read a comic, so I hope I will enjoy your work.

Great experience. It’s well mixed and it was a lot better then original ost…..
Also it’s like it’s a lot shorter than original, because you reduced all those ”annoying” passages and now it’s more Williams and movie-like.

I didn’t like that Vader, so I made quickly this picture for folder on my PC, because I’m definitely keeping this.
It’s pretty fresh, only one thing I noticed, it’s in the end credits. Right after SW theme end credits fanfare, there is Xizor’s theme? and the transition and begining is little weird, like it’s out of rhythm. I know it’s not, but I hear it like this.
I give you 4,5 stars from 5))))

there was also Faking the Code that had choral and i believe a few other tracks
