All the music from the game including cut-scenes and pre-rendered movies in lossless FLAC format, as well as the four MP3 files that used to be available at lucasarts.com. The original score was composed by Jeremy Soule, supplemented by selections from John Williams’ film scores. In particular, some of the music from Episode II was not included on the commercial CD release and can only be heard in this game. Thanks to lordskylark for doing the rip.

Jeremy Soule and Julian Soule!

Thanks for this, I’m downloading it now, let’s see what I can do with this stuff. 🙂

I wonder if you have other lordskylark rips, because I can’t seem to find how to contact him to get them.

Ok then admiraleyesbar, I listened to some of these tracks, and they appear to be mostly edited versions of the Star Wars film soundtracks, there is some of Jeremy and Julian Soule’s work in there, but really, if you wanted the John Williams stuff, everything is from the films, you just have to identify everything and edit it together.

As for the Jeremy and Julian Soule stuff, everything that they did is already in the soundtrack that was on the other thread. Exept, for the cutscenes, which are going to be a pain to get the music alone (no sound effects) from.

Really, separating music from sound effects can be done, but only if you have a few things provided- if the audio is mixed in stereo, which most stuff is, you can separate channels, provided the sound effects and music are on different channels to begin with. If they aren’t, there’s only one other method I know of, which does not always work- if you have the original sound effects from the audio separated from the music, in some way, you can use these to "null" the sound effects in your other audio track, and although it rarely works, it can work really well if it does. Both of these methods have been demonstrated on Youtube, and I’ve tried them out myself, so I know they work.

As for your music, it is a good rip, that’s for sure, but it is only that- a rip, for those who want the Soule music, go to the other thread, for those who want the Williams music, get the Star Wars soundtracks.

That is all.

Everything is from the films that was done by John Williams. That doesn’t mean it was released. Go listen to the Ultimate Edition soundtrack, you’ll hear tons more music in the games than what’s on that shambles of a ‘complete’ score. To somebody like me, tehre’s even higher quality pieces of the unreleased music that before we had to rely on LQ for, and that is the real gold, and that is the reason lordskylark ripped the soundtrack in the first place.

For instance:

Track 051: the first part was released, but the second part is the later part of that same cue, which was cut from both the album release and the so-called "Ultimate Edition".

Track 037: Alternate version of "Escape From Naboo" with extra percussion that was edited out of the film take (Williams would make on-the-spot changes to some cues)

Ok then, just get that "Ultimate" Soundtrack. Problem solved (I hope). 🙂

Snip? I never posted that.

I already have the Ultimate Edition, as I said before it’s woefully incomplete. Thankfully, with the video game material it is within our power to edit together a complete version of the score.

That is what I was getting at.

Whatever works.

PS: "snip" is just me snipping all of the text from the quote of your post, I wanted to have the quote there, but since your post was right above, it was useless to have the whole thing in mine, it would just waste space.
