How do you people like this game?

Theres a thread similar to this already, but..i give it a 8ish. The mazes and puzzles are terrible o_o but the rest of the game is great^^

It’s a very eventful game, and it keeps you interested, but for some reason I can never bring myself to start playing it…o_O

I have only just started to play this Action/RPG, but so far, it has impressed and interested me. The graphics are great (Square never lets us down in that category), the story is very intersting, and the gameplay has a nice little flow to it. My only complaint is the game’s horrible music. I usually just turn down the volume on my T.V. and listen to some great hits from the Final Fantasy V and VI Soundtrack.

Gah, the game fell apart on the second disc. The storyline takes a SHARP detour to this stupid sub-plot on another planet that’s half the game, and the battle system is fun at first, until you find yourself using most of the basic abilites you got at the start of the game then the stupid shitty abilites you get between lv.10-50. The party AI is pretty stupid, aswell, you’re pounding the same 2 buttons while your party members either have their backs towards the freaking battle, or running around beating up stuff, not realizing they’re half-dead.

I bought this game expecting a Tales of Symphonia for the PS2 (Ironically, there is a TOS for the PS2 in Japan.), what i got was a half-assed game from SQ-E that doesn’t live up to the first two games. Did i mention the character models show no emotion? Your whole world is crashing around you and you’re smiling away like an idiot.

if anyone beat this game can you help me on the part in the beginning where you have to find that little boy that rescued you

I give this game a 9/10. It has great graphics a good storyline(other then the two hour opening 🙁 ) The battle system is great with the real time fights which is a welcome change from turn based and the game is about 80 hours long.

I agree. I have done it once but on my second time through i find myself lacking in enthusiam. The boss music is poor as well. Why cant all the bosses have Crossels’s music? He aint even the last boss yet he looks cooler and his music is cooler.

I just bought Star Ocean a few days ago, and so far all I like about it is the battle system.
