ive never got that to work, but isn’t it to do with the emulator not being able to emulate the rom properly?

Do you use zsnes, its probably best emulator for snes.

You will need to download and patch the Star ocean GFX pack for it to work properly in other emulators. Otherwise, either play the orig Jap version of use ZSNES to play the DeJap translation.
