Splatoon Thread

This is the official (?) thread for Splatoon, the Wii U exclusive shooter that will be released the 29th of May.

If you are not aware, last Saturday there was a "global testfire", a demo that was only playable in three one-hour occasions that day. I played 2/3 of them and I gotta say…

the game is AWESOME. Fun as heck, the music is catchy and the online works nicely. I even… I even… pre-ordered an Inkling Girl amiibo (!), man, I was sure I will never buy any amiibos, but a human mind is a fragile thing indeed. The amiibo is just so darn cute I have to own one 😀 It’s pretty big a thing. Damn you Nintendo and you gimmicks, still, but… it’s just so cute <3

Erhm… did others play the demo? What were your impressions of it? A word is free. Yea!

They lost me when it was revealed that there’d be no voice chat, even with friends. Might try a demo once it’s out.. I’d only buy it if the price drops below $30.

Who needs voice chat? Even if Splatoon had it, I would disable it as soon as possible 😀

I don’t care much for chatting with randoms either, but why not include it anyway for those who do want it? Those who don’t want it, just turn it off.
