Sonic the Hedgehog Music Collection #5: Sega Dreamcast

Next up in Part 5, we have the Sega Dreamcast… it’s still thinking after all these years.

As of today, these links will not be coming back. Since FileFolks never sorted out their payment system, I was never able to renew to a Premium Subscription. As a result my files were removed from their servers at a rate of several a day. I was going to upload the albums to RapidShare in due course, but thanks to a recent hard drive failure, I have lost ALL the albums I had ever uploaded. I cannot remember where I got most of these albums, and trying to obtain all 118 albums will be a nightmare.

So I’m afraid if you require your fix of Sonic the Hedgehog music, you will have to search elsewhere.

Major apologies to everyone who was hoping to download, but please place your blame on FileFolks and Seagate.

@BlueStreak: You’re missing the following:
1) a game rip of Sonic Adventure; the rip has music the OST doesn’t.
2) A game rip of Sonic Adventure 2; again, it has music the OST lacks.

Don’t know if anyone else is having this problem but on the SA1 vocal trax, It Doesn’t Matter and Lazy Days are corrupted. I downloaded the .rar file, opened it with WinRAR and when I added the folder to my iTunes, only Open Your Heart, My Sweet Passion, Believe in Myself, and Unknown from M.E. were added.

@PattLynch – Thanks for letting me know. I’ve amended the RAR file with working It Doesn’t Matter and Lazy Days tracks. It should be working fine now.

From what I can tell, the SA and SA2 20th anniversary albums are essentially abridged albums of their respective game soundtracks.

(At least what I’ve learned from Sonic Retro anyway.)

Just popping in to say that yes, the 20th Anniversary versions of SA1 and SA2’s soundtracks are just shortened versions of the original soundtracks, at the exact same circa-2000 audio quality.

Yeah, the 20th anniversary albums (Minus the Sonic CD one) are so bad that the Sonic Heroes 20th anniversary album has the exact same tracklist as the American "Sonic Heroes Official Soundtrack" release. They’re just quick cash-grabs.
