Why is Aeris sometime called Aerith?Ive heard many different reasons why but can someone please tell me?Ive always wondered about this for fucking years.

Japanese name. Aerith is her name when it came out in Japan. In america some shit happened with the translation and her name became Aeris.

Yup. But I wonder why her name was messed up and changed to Aeris instead of Aerith? Both are correct (all a matter of preference, really) but did Square do that on purpose? Maybe they thought that "Aeris" would be a more appealing name to Americans than "Aerith"….
