Hi! I just joined today!=) I love FFVI…it’s the only FF game I’ve played so far, but I love it! (I also would like to try FFIV sometime…)

Anyway, I’m near the end of the game…

All of the characters I’m using are at LEAST at level 40…my main team is in the mid-70s.

Anyway, I’d like any advice for how to prepare myself for Kefka’s Tower. I’ve gone through the tower with Mog and my good team members to defeat the dragons and the Ultima thing…all I have left is the Warring Triad.

My good team consists of Gogo, Terra, Sabin, and Locke. Each of them know Curaga, Arise, Reraise, and Ultima.

Sabin and Gogo have the Phantom Rush Blitz. Terra has Zantetsuken equipped (I’d equip Ultima Weapon, but I don’t want to have its power reduced if Terra’s HP drops.)

Any advice before I tackle the tower? Thank you so much!=)

I’m guessing that this is for the GBA Release?

I haven’t played the GBA version, but since they’re the same game (minus small additions and what-not) basically stock up on your magics, learn Ultima if you haven’t already, obviously level your characters to at least level 60 (to have a good chance at getting the better ending). Before you finally confront Kefka, save you best team for the last, have a healer or two, and a strong magic user.

If you can, you might wanna get an economizer and the gem box and put that on Terra. If she knows Ultima, she can then cast it twice for 1 MP each every turn.

You can get economizers from fighting brachosaurs in the dinosaur forest. Be warned; they’re hard as crap. (Economizers are dropped, btw)

Oh, those must be the Soul of Thamasa and the Celestriad. Yep, got both!

Actually, I beat the game yesterday! It was pretty good! The graphics during the credits were amazing! I mean, not by today’s standards, but when I think of the time the game first came out…Wow!

And what is the "Good Ending"? 🙂
