I don’t have the best memory, unfortunately. I do remember, though that when I was a kid, and I was at sleepaway camp, we had a "super mario day" where all the groups did related activities and won "coins" (similar to the 6 Golden Coins game when you beat a boss you got a coin) to rescue the "princess" (a guy cross-dressed as peach lol) from the clutches of "Bowser". The music they were blasting from the speakers was awesome, and it had a good beat to it and it almost seemed kinda "hardcore". (Is that the right word? Anyway…) The closest song that I’ve found so far to match that distant memory was this on Youtube – the theme song from the TV show that aired back in 1989. Click the youtube link to see what I mean. http://youtube.com/watch?v=vkQTgjGboWQ
Was there a CD released with this on it, and possibly a couple other tracks done/"remixed" in the same style? If anyone’s got details, please post them. Hopefully then I’d be able to post my request in the request forum to see if anyone has the music. I’d love to have this in my iTunes library.
