Silent Hill: Songs of Sorrow (Custom MP3 Compilation)

I created a custom Silent Hill soundtrack album this evening and decided I might as well share it here with the community. It’s comprised entirely of the rock/pop songs that were performed by Mary Elizabeth McGlynn over the course of the series. I figured I’d share it for anyone else who might want to put these songs all in one place.

This collection isn’t so much about fidelity as it is convenience. I created it specifically for my iPod, so the quality is lossy. Most of the MP3s are encoded in 320kbps or VBR, but the songs from Silent Hill Origins are encoded at 192kbps. I’ve never hunted them down from a better source, but I’m planning to do so eventually. If possible, I’ll put together a FLAC compilation in the future as well (although I know for a fact that some of the later CDs were created from lossy source files in the first place, which still boggles my mind).
