Is this whole thing a OST compilation or actually new arranged tracks that were never released in other albums before?

Discs 1-4 are old albums, but 5-6 are brand new.

The who ripped it in FLAC for me actually wanted to do all 6 but I told him not to bother with 1-4 since they’re old albums that I already had in FLAC.

But they are remastered and the sound can be different.
And can you ask him to scan the disks?

They are NOT remastered, I just listened to them side-by-side and it’s the exact same sound, the only difference is that the 25th anniversary rip is a few dB louder which is a common practice with re-releases of old music albums to make them more in line with the standardized volume of modern CDs which are generally louder.

Yeah it’s fine, I’m just saying that anyone that actually owns the original albums has no reason to download Discs 1-4 of this. Not to mention that they didn’t even bother fixing the extremely poor conversion of SMT1 SNES music in the Law disc which has all those atrocious loud cracking popping artifact sounds. The fact the new album is louder only makes them even more apparent and insufferable.

From my experience in most cases they never bother actually remastering, and often "remastered" just means louder unfortunately, personally I will stick with originals and their intended volume instead of these.
