Thanks a lot, I really wish I could play all the SMT games. Shame I don’t have a modded PS2 and can’t speak Japanese.

havent you played the the SMT in snes? the story was beyond awesome, though it’s too difficult and I dont really enjoy the entire game system. The music is pretty decent, IMO.

They do come in English versions as well; they’re hard to find, and a little pricy, but I managed to pick up a copy of all 4 games on the PS2 over the course of 2 months searching my local game shops.

Actually, I did play the 2 for snes. The storyline was horrifying and beautiful. The music for law and chaos was amazing too…

I just purchased the first Shin Megami Tensei for PS2 as well. It was 45 dollars Canadian at EBgames. I knew there was a second one and Nocturne, but I never knew about any other games. Oh wait, Raidoha or something right? About detectives. It’s a shame, though: I sold my ps2 and bought a ps3, and the SMT game is not fully supported by PS3 firmware (freezes during certain attacks :P). Definitely not what I was expecting, but good nonetheless. I think Valkyrie Profile 2 is still the best RPG for ps2.
