For some reason my rank went from 7 to 6 does anyone know why?

maybe because you probably did something wrong with your fighting and stuff. your rank goes down whenever you do something wrong with your battles. y’know, like escape battles most of the time, and not being able to go on with the story. i really don’t know what things make your rank go down, but i’m sure it’s one of those things i’ve said…

Either you made bad choices or you keep escaping from battles. I know it is annoying.

Yeah I think if you escape 10 consecutive battles it goes down a rank and for every 50 escapes. it goes down a rank but dont worry justtakes the seed test and boost it up again.

Also, it could possibly have been simply that you had been payed your salary and you were too busy twiddling your thumbs and whistling to "Dad’s Army".

Yeah, what they’re saying is true — your SeeD rank can go down for a lot of things. Lack of battles, escaping from battles, maybe you piddled around on a mission or made a wrong choice. Of course, this is all academic to me because my dirty little secret is that I cheat the SeeD tests to bump the rank all the way up to A early on.
