Dunno, it is hard to say. So many beat the shit out of this game. People hate the junction system…I have to say the junction system was a little dodgy and the fact that enemies get stronger with you, well that kinda bites, coz you get nothing on your opponents.
The story was good, I liked the story and all that. Also I think this would be one of my favourite FF’s mainly coz of the realism of the graphics and it doesn’t have that comic feel to it like FF7 & FF9.
Is it the best? dunno hard to say but I am gonna say yes, mainly coz I have finished it more than once, wheras I have finished FF7 and FF9 only once a piece.

NO! The junction system was dodgy, the story line just kept on dragging on with no direction so it got boring.
And the lead character was crap, he has nothing over Cloud or Zidane.

FF8 is not the best in the series, the story of FF7 is way better. The junction system is ok but the limit system just sux.
