In the past, did you ever save and preserve vintage Video Game / Console boxes from either the Nintendo, Super Nintendo, PC? Etc. Anything basically that was manufactored of deteriorating paper or cardboard.

Initally, at a young age, I nonchalantly tore them up and discarded them as refuse. Luckily, however, I rectified my mistake by realizing anon the value these are going to have in the next fifty to one hundred years. Gradually, they’ll become scarce and antiquated like the original game cartridges / CDs themselves, if not already. Therefore, I have made it a personal policy of mine to sustain the value of my game and console boxes for as longest possible.

I still have most of my Super Nintendo and Game Gear boxes, and quite a few PC ones as well, I don’t think the PC ones are to great and probaly won’t be worth much but the others plus orginal games and manuals is pretty cool. I don’t think I have any of the boxes for the actual consoles though.

I have roughly 99% of all my old video game boxes/manuals/etc. I keep the NES/SNES boxes downstairs in the basement, as well as N64 games I think. The current gen boxes are in my room since I actually still use them on occasion. And the manuals are in a drawer by the rest of my video game stuff. I seriously have a huge collection of stuff.

I’m a gigantic hoarder. I’ve got a cupboard full of console and pc game boxes (as well as a bunch of toy boxes from my FF10 figurines).

I use em for storage, so they’re still around, the stuff that comes with them, manuals and shit I put them somewhere and then forget where I put them.

I usually keep my boxes for some reason. I guess I’m too lazy to through them away.

I used to have the Virtual Boy box, but I think my mom threw it away at some point.

I have the boxes/inserts/manuals for the consoles themselves and I still have most of the boxes/manuals for my snes/nes games. There are some that were thrown out in the various moves we’ve done though.

I make sure to keep everything from my new games/consoles. It becomes a hassle trying to find room for all the boxes, but it was well worth it last time we had to move because it made storage and transport of them quite easy.
