I’ve played FF8 on my PSOne.
But now I want to play it on my new PS2.
The problem is that when I want to save, I gives an error.
I can’t save the game.
Just want to know if someone else has the same problem.

You’re using a PS One memory card, right? Data from PS1 games can be stored on PS2 memory cards but can’t be directly used in games, so if you copied your saved game to a PS2 card you’re going to have to send it back to a PS1 card.

Other than that, I have no idea what the problem could be. I’ve never owned a PS One, so I don’t know if it’s normal to have problems transfering saved games from PS1s to PS2s, but I can tell you I have never had a problem playing FFVIII on my PS2.

Thanks for your advice.
I will give it a try.

If it still doesn’t work, I’ll just play it on my PSOne.

Okay, here’s what I did whenever I played FF8 on PS then on PS2:

Played the game on PS. Saved it on a memory card for the PS. Then later went to PS2. Turned it on, put FF8 in and loaded from my memory card (which, remember, was for PS). It worked.

So maybe there’s a problem w/ your PS2 or something.

I don’t know but maybe PS1 mc’s are different from PS’s mcs. PS sc’s should work on the PS2, but I don’t know about PS1.

You have to use a PS1 memory card because the PS2 memory card is mega bits not kila bits and your PS1 card has pages it’s totaly different than the PS2 card. If u don’t use the Ps1 card on PS one games you won’t be able to play the game on the PS2.
