"Harmoniemusik" is music for classical wind ensemble. Harmonie Ensemble New York is
something altogether larger and more diverse. Founded in 1979 by conductor and music director
# Steven Richman, today the Ensemble encompasses every form of performance from
chamber ensemble to symphony and chamber orchestra. Harmonie Ensemble New York
has a broad and highly eclectic repertoire that not only ranges from classical to contemporary,
but includes symphonic jazz, and spirituals as well. The group’s top-flight, highly versatile
New York musicians are hand-picked from the classical and jazz worlds by Maestro Richman.

The Ensemble’s uniqueness derives in part from Richman’s success at uncovering rare gems,
original orchestrations, lesser-known works and historic arrangements, including chamber
and symphonic works.

The group also produces and performs the annual international Dvor�k Day Concerts, and
for many years presented the closing gala orchestral concerts at New York’s Lincoln Center
Out-of-Doors Festival.

The versatility of Harmonie Ensemble New York (HENY) can be seen in the diversity of
composers celebrated in the historic concerts which it has performed."

Je me demandais si quelqu’un aurait non pas la d�licatesse, mais seulement l’amiti� d’avoir une pens�e pour notre pays, sur ce forum, en ce jour affreux qui en rappelle et en annonce d’autres. La France ne m�rite pas plus ni mieux que tous ces pays en souffrance, �touff�s par le terrorisme ou la pauvret�, les dictatures, les plans d’aust�rit�, et nous nous habituons tous � ce que le monde aille comme il va, c’est � dire mal, tel qu’il est, c’est � dire injuste, gouvern� par l’argent, les int�r�ts personnels, et la soif de pouvoir. Il faut maintenant y a jouter le fl�au de la religion, foi magnifique quand elle est intime et priv�e mais d�voy�e, honteuse, barbare quand elle cherche � s’imposer. Car Ne vous y trompez pas, ce qu’"ils" cherchent � faire dans tant d’endroits sur cette plan�te, c’est de provoquer le chaos, pour mieux contr�ler les �mes, les populations, tout cela au nom de "leur" dieu, qui bien s�r est amour, comme chacun sait. Pour l’instant 128 personnes sont mortes de cet amour si g�n�reusement partag� et combien de victimes collat�rales qui ne s’en remettront jamais…
C’est avec reconnaissance et beaucoup de chaleur que je salue votre initiative sp�cialement sur un forum qui ces derniers temps est devenu un endroit o� s’�changent de plus en plus de propos intol�rants, insultants ou d�gradants qui pour ma part me font honte alors qu’il devrait encourager passion, convivialit�, courtoisie…et rappeler que sans la culture, les livres, la musique, le cin�ma, l’art vivant, nous sommes suppos�s �tre un peu moins cons!
