I wonder if this crap is going to have a proper soundtracks release. Special cd my ass. Just give us a full soundtrack album, and not breadcrumbs scattered all over these stupid limited editions only.

Thank you for giving me some more Toshihiko Sahashi music to delight myself. Atleast I think I can have more then 30 minutes of music…. I think, combined with the last 2.

No sir, they’re too busy releasing Myth cloths. That’s where the money is.

And thanks for the CD.

I totally agree with you. I mean, the interviews are a nice touch but I’m getting tired of this special cds, just release the full Soundtrack… I wonder if these cds even sell tbh.

these things are a great disrespect to the composers. Just a a very few people will waste this much money to be able to listen their music. Japan is no longer trusting their "dead skills" about selling anime, so they know foreigners are crazy fro most of their composers, and this how they make sure we get these dvd or blugay shit with this trap.

I’m fairly sure that they don’t give a shit about the fifty people outside of Japan who not only give a damn about the music, but they give enough of a damn to spend hundreds of pounds importing Bluray sets. As a rule, outside of obvious international bait producers like Ghibli, no Japanese anime production gives international sales – or international anything – any kind of consideration at all.

What actually happens is that soundtrack CDs no longer sell in quantities that make their individual release worthwhile, so as an alternative to having no soundtrack available at all, they make bonus CDs to put in Bluray boxed sets; sets that are purchased by Japanese otaku who will happily spend every bit of disposable income they can find.

They worked out a model that makes money and still enables availability of the product WE really love but isn’t economically viable to produce individually.

I hate the bonus CDs with a passion, but I’m really grateful that they exist if the alternative is no more soundtrack releases.

Oh so that’s why. Honestly, do otaku make that much money?

Well, somebody’s buying these bloody things… 😉

To buy all of the Soul Of Gold BDs will cost you 36,000 yen – that’s nearly $300 or nearly 200. People are buying them. They must be mad, rich, or both…
