Many thanks INDEED for sharing…. but really… What the bloody hell is this? What a goddamned let-down this is, especially when compared to previous Taiga drama scores. The theme is a cliched moaning monstrosity (featuring Lisa Gerrard of all people… oh GOD…….) complete with poxy Zimmeresque percussion, and an orchestra hiding underneath all the mush. The secondary romantic subject (at least the theme still adheres to the traditional structure of Heroic Theme, Love / Pastoral Theme, Linking Section, Heroic Theme) is marginally better but it all sounds so tawdry. Absolutely nasty as bloody hell. The rest of the score alternates between electronica noise and manipulated orchestra buried under mounds of electronica noise. (With a handful of passable tracks, granted.)

What the hell? I’m going to listen to Furinkazan (2007’s Taiga Drama, by Akira Senju) to wash this dispicable row out of my head.

SATO WHAT ARE YOU DOING? You’re one of the best. Taiga Dramas are prestigious and expensive. What in the world happened? 🙁

I’m so sorry to be so aggressive – it’s not intended to the poster (to whom I am massively grateful) or to anybody else… I hope you will all understand that this is just such a colossal disappointment (TO ME) that it’s hard to respond other than in this somewhat raw, overly emotive manner…

I must be going soft, because this has been growing on me just recently… I’d love to get my hands on Vol 3 (and Vol 2, which I don’t have either) — much gratitude in advance. 🙂
