Viz released the first volume of the manga Rurouni Kenshin now, so I suggest you hurry and get it now.

*waits*

Well, I’m just interested in hearing the opinion of people who probably watched all of the TV series and now get to see the REAL thing.
And absolute beginners, too, of course.

TELL ME!!!:)

Those guys are doing FoR too. They’re okay, they actually do half-decent translations.

I won’t be able to get it for like… another week. 🙁 So I guess I’ll actually post something substantial then. yeah. yay, go me….

Incidentally, how many volumes are there in total? o_o

28 volumes!
=D

I wish I had them ahead of me again, instead of behind me… I miss waiting for the next one.

Sure, Haru, as long as I am here…!

@Sou
Bookstores? Comic shops? order it on amazon? There are many ways to get a manga… Note that we’re talking about the USA.

I’d rather wait for most of the RK manga are released then buy. Go read other mangas. Waiting for manga releases sux, especially RK since its so good that you just can’t wait till its next release. Btw, sezi what happened to Leggy Loo Loo?

Blah, no way. Waiting is part of the fun. It’s when you spend tim getting excitied, and musing what could happen. Placing bets with your friends and having to listen to them say 30 times a day: "I am worried!"

I’ve read the first eleven volumes in one day, then waited half a year, then read up to volume 16, then waited two weeks, then read 17, then waited two months for the next volume, after this three months… two months…
I cannot imagine reading a manga series without waiting! I’d have finished Kenshin in three days instead of years hadn’t it been for the waiting. It’s just part of the experience.
Besides, who wants to wait 27 months now before starting to read it?

Haru Glory

I’d wait a year if it means i get all the volumes at once =P
and btw Bu Sou Ren Kin is out here O_o

Haru Glory

Cough cough….i mean more than a year
*pedangs myself*

Tokiko

How can Busou Renkin be out "there" when it isn’t even out in Japan??? I demand to be told… in what language?? I demand… to be… told!!!
Or give me a link or something.

And do you even know what awaits you? You’ll have to translate the whole manga for me. 😉

Oh, and don’t double post. Edit-button. ^^"

Soujiro~
Ahaa…you looked at my avy. XD
Leggy Loo Loo will always have a special place in my heart but for now Jack Sparrow’s been clogging it up. 😡 [/off topic]

Anyway I need to know…would it be such a good idea to watch the anime before I read the books? Also…is the anime worth buying?

Ahem, it IS out O_o
Where do you get your sources from anyway?
I can’t read mandarin so i cant…….translate…… X_x

@Riana
The anime was based on the manga, but messes things up especially after the Kyoto story. And very much so. It’s absolutely not necessary to watch the anime. Actually, look at me, I never watched more than maybe 13 episodes~ Anime leaves out Enishi. You know, the sexy guy. (Don’t disagree, Haru! Girls are talking.) I suggest you simply focus on the manga and don’t watch any anime… 🙂 It’s truer this way.

@Haru
My sources…
http://www.s-manga.net
That’s a Shueisha preview page… updated each week.
According to this page, no Japanese volume has been released. I also checked amazon.co.jp yesterday and got no search result.

Don’t underestimate my sources… Mine was the first page to post a news message about Busou Renkin. 😛 My sources are good.

… In case anybody is getting confused: Busou Renkin is Watsuki’s current series. Kenshin-author, alright? 😉

Then explain the book on my friend’s hands now x_x

All I said: There is no Busou Renkin out in Japan. And you don’t want to give me info about this Mandarin release? (Can your friend read it? I wanna have a translation!)
Like, who published it, how many chapters… etc!? Pwease?
