Alrighty, what it says in the title.

My opinion is: I’ll wait and see. I hope he uses Zimmer’s theme extensively. On a related note, if Warner Brothers is intent on sticking to RCP composers, then they should definitely bring Lorne Balfe in at some point. I’d like to see what he does.

Penny for ya thoughts?

I Am Generally Interested To See How This Score Turns Out. I Like RG-W.

As long as I get some form of "Is She With You" in there I’ll be happy. Really looking forward to this film!

So am I! Only 218 days to go. (*sigh*)

And I just realised I can start making custom covers. Aw yeah.

Well, here’s the first official trailer. It should help tide you over until the film’s release.

Or until the next official trailer.

Nope. Won’t watch it. For movies I’m excited about I only ever watch one teaser trailer, then I ignore anything after that. It’s difficult, but it usually pays off.

Good luck with that.

Heh, thanks. Batman v Superman was tough. Especially since they released like 500 trailers for that.

I was hoping – in vain – that they might be interested in a female composer for the film, and choose someone like Anne Dudley or Lolita Ritmanis to score it. But RGW is a fantastic choice as well.

My point exactly. You’re going to be hitting the "change channel" button a lot in the coming year.

We need more female Hollywood composers in general, to be fair.

The worst case is when I’m in a cinema. I always bow my head and close my eyes. (Like I’m saying a prayer before eating my popcorn .)

We don’t need more female composers, but I would hope that talented women in music are not being denied advancement in the film industry due to their sex.
My earlier post was essentially me stating that I wished they’d gotten a female composer so that one of the woman I mentioned could write for it. Ritmanis in particular could write a killer score to this film. I’m getting goosebumps just thinking about the possibilities.

Ah, I see. What I meant was I’d like to see more female composers in Hollywood. It wasn’t so much a call for equality, just my desire. Aaanyway, Hollywood certainly mustn’t forget about the scoring veterans. Animated films like The Killing Joke is cool and all, but composers really get to flex when it comes to big budget affairs.

Blargh, Killing Joke was a mess. The score has its moments but overall I think it’s a dud.
Her work for the ’90s Batman and Superman are what I would hope she would do for a theatrical film. Especially "Little Girl Lost".

I wish I was more familiar with her work (and Walker and the others), but it’s such a massive backlog .

Indeed! I purchased the SUPERMAN: TAS set over a year ago and still haven’t gotten through all four discs… and don’t even get me started on Justice League!

If I remember correctly, Justice League is 5 hours long? Hah, good luck. I’m certainly not a fan of stopping a score midway and continuing later on.

I used to not like it either but it’s so rare to be able to listen even to a 40-minute album in one sitting these days. 🙁

Amen to that. I hope RGW rips the roof off with his score.

Setting WW’s first adventure with WWI as the backdrop is a good choice. It’s little wonder – no pun intended – that it was called "the war to end all wars" and that experience would drive Diana to conceal her identity.
