Any other suggestions?

I already see a few I’m missing (like the Final Fantasy remakes), but I haven’t gotten to those yet. 🙂

I guess this could also serve as another "recommendations" thread, if we’re doing game genres. (I’d also like to do another thread like this for shooters, if there isn’t one already.)

Lots of worthy ones not on there yet, but I’ll start with the SNES since that’s one of my favorites consoles.

Bahamut Lagoon
Brain Lord
E.V.O.: Search for Eden
Front Mission
Lufia & the Fortress of Doom
Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals
Mystic Ark
Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen
Robotrek
Soul Blazer
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Tactics Ogre
Treasure Hunter G

I’ve already suggested you Rebus, over at VGMdb (glad you found tracks you enjoyed in that one)… Maybe you can find stuff to enjoy also within Wild ARMs and La Pucelle: Tactics, but it’s been a while since I’ve listened to their music, personally, I offer my apologies in advance, in case they don’t work.

Well, what I’d like to do one day is turn other similar playlists I have into a sort of VGM radio station or podcast or whatever works these days. I really want to broaden my horizons on how an RPG actually -did- sound in whatever era, as well as having a very strong "RPG feel" to them and give the station a "sound", you know? So if that helps anyone with ideas, keep adding them and I’ll keep listening and adding. 😀

arthurgolden: I’ve actually added a few of your ideas already (Mystic Ark, the Lufias, a few others) and hope to listen to more some time tonight.

Leon Scott Kennedy: Rebus was just the kind of thing I was looking for. I recently discovered Shining Wind has some great "RPG sound" to it. I was actually wondering how no one had suggested Wild Arms yet, honestly. (I certainly see it all over the place in vgm places.)

For non-bittunes, i would add: Heroes of Might & Might 3 and 5, the various World of Warcraft soundtracks, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, Warhammer 40K Space Marine, Shadow of the Colossus, Darkest Dungeon, Lara Croft & Temple Osiris, Odin Sphere Leiftrasir, land of Lore 2, God eater, Lair, Diablo 2,

This^ sort of thing would be amazing. I remember searching for VGM podcasts and found nothing of quality. I also whole-heartedly second adding the Super Mario RPG OST… 🙂

RuneScape.
I know there’s over 1,000 tracks but I have no idea how I’m going to acquire them in any chronological-ish order.
